Mar-Temp 355 is a high performance accelerated hot quenching oil suitable for use at temperatures of up to 375 F (190 C). It is based upon solvent-refined mineral oils and contains a specialty formulated additive package which provides accelerated quenching characteristics and excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability. Mar-Temp 355 has a high flash point and will provide long life under arduous operation conditions.
Mar-Temp 355 can be used at temperatures of up to 375 F (190 C). It finds particular application at temperatures of 250 F (121 C) to 350 F (177 C) in sealed quench furnaces for the control of distortion on critical high precision components such as bearing rings or automotive transmission parts in through hardened, carburized and carbonitrided steels.

The product is intended for a number of applications: - For cleaning and lubrication of band saws, circular saws and planers in the sawmill industry. The product is tested against the sealing materials and colors commonly used by the leading manufacturers of sawmill and joinery equipment. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to mineral oils, e.g. diesel. - For use in welding robots. The oil prevents the burning of welding syringes in nozzles as well as on fixtures and workpieces.

Advice for keeping optimal oil performance and longer oil life:
• Avoid water contamination.
• Minimize pollution with aqueous metalworking coolants or cleaners.
• Minimize pollution with tramp-oil (hydraulic oils, slideway oils, etc.....).
• Use proper filtration unit to remove swarf and chips.
